Professional Development for Educators

There are many opportunities for educators to connect with the Museum, whether through our popular Evening for Educators events or professional development days, or by sharing your own experiences with other educators.

Evening for Educators

On the third Thursday of March and November, the Education department hosts Evening for Educators, a free networking and professional development event for educators at all levels. Learn what’s new at the Museum and how our school tours can help you meet New York State Common Core Learning Standards. Featured speakers make each event unique. In-service credit is available; check with your district for approval. Stay for our popular free art happening 2300˚ immediately following. Registration is requested.

Professional Development Day

Arrange a free Professional Development Day designed specifically for you and your colleagues. If you don’t immediately see how your group’s needs align with glass, contact us so we can craft a day with creative activities and interactive experiences. New exhibitions are featured each year to highlight glass art, history, science, and technology, making the possibilities endless.

Share Your Experiences with Others

Have you had a great experience with your students at the Museum? Would you and your students like to share your program with other educators? We encourage you to share how you’ve made successful curriculum connections at the Museum. If you are interested in presenting to your peers, please contact [email protected].
